Forskningsprojekt avseende utbildningstid och doktorsavhandlingars omfattning i forskarutbildningsämnena radiofysik och medicinsk strålningsfysik vid Naturvetenskaplig fakultet, Lunds universitet, under tidsperioden 1969-2023

Inom ramen för kvalitetsutvecklingsarbetet inom utbildning på forskarnivå i medicinsk strålningsfysik görs löpande sammanställningar av doktorsavhandlingars omfattning, i termer av antal ingående delarbeten och publikationsstatus för dessa. En översikt över tid mellan antagning och disputation kan också tas fram, liksom doktorandens ålder vid tidpunkt för disputation samt antal handledare. Materialet har över tid blivit av sådan omfattning och karaktär att det kan ha vetenskapligt intresse, och ska i detta projekt sammanställas för publicering i utbildningsvetenskaplig konferenspublikation eller tidskrift. Dessa planer innebär att regler och riktlinjer för forskning tillämpas. Alla uppgifter som ingår är hämtade från offentliga allmänna handlingar, och inga känsliga personuppgifter behandlas. De personuppgifter som behandlas är födelseår och utbildningsperiod på forskarnivå. Ingen information inhämtas direkt från fysisk person, utan enbart från fritt tillgängligt publicerat material och allmänna offentliga handlingar. Insamlade personuppgifter behandlas i anonymiserad form för forskningsändamål, som uppgifter av allmänt intresse, i enlighet med GDPR. Projektet är anmält i Lunds universitets personuppgiftsdatabas PULU. De personer vars uppgifter behandlas framgår av angiven målgrupp ovan, och dessa personer är informerade via denna annonsering. Ongoing research project regarding the doctoral education in Medical Radiation Physics

Target group for this information: Persons who have defended their doctoral thesis in the third-cycle subjects of Radiation Physics and Medical Radiation Physics in Lund, at the Faculty of Science, Lund University, during the time period 1969-2023

Research project regarding the duration of education and the scope of doctoral theses in the research subject areas of Radiation Physics and Medical Radiation Physics at the Faculty of Science, Lund University, during the time period 1969-2023

Within the framework of the quality development work in doctoral education in medical radiation physics, compilations of the scope of doctoral theses are made on an ongoing basis, in terms of the number of papers included and the publication status of these. An overview of the time between admission and the public defence of the doctoral thesis can also be compiled from public sources, as well as the age of the doctoral student at the time of the public defence and the number of supervisors. Over time, the material has become of such scope and character that it may be of scientific interest, and, in this project, it will be put together for publication in an educational science conference publication or in a scientific journal. These plans require the application of rules and guidelines for research. All information included is taken from public records, and no sensitive personal data are processed. The personal data processed is year of birth and period of doctoral education. No information is obtained directly from an individual, but only from freely available published material and general public documents and public records. Collected personal data are processed in anonymized form for research purposes, as data of public interest, in accordance with the GDPR. The project is registered in Lund University's personal data database ‘Personal Data Lund University (PULU)’. The persons whose data are processed are identified by the target group statement above, and these persons are informed through this advertisement. Anyone who wishes to do so may opt out of participation or receive additional information, in which case the project coordinator should be contacted as follows.
